She was immediately inspired by the impact-driven work happening here and the supportive team culture. With a background in climate and fintech, including two years designing software for carbon credit project developers and five years at Stripe, Melissa brings a versatile skill set to Flipturn. Her day-to-day involves focusing on key product features while contributing to various projects across product and marketing—a dynamic role that keeps her engaged and motivated. Melissa especially enjoys working with fleet managers ready to electrify, many of whom are based in the Midwest, where she’s originally from. Building solutions for these communities makes her work feel even more rewarding. One of her favorite experiences so far was a team outing in Brooklyn, where they spent a morning trying to charge an EV at a public station. After nearly two hours of unsuccessful charging attempts, they saw firsthand some of the current pain points in public EV charging. This eye-opening experience reinforced the importance of the work ahead.
