Congratulations to The Schochet Companies and Jonathan Rose Companies - Riverside Towers is a phenomenal community that prioritizes resident comfort and sustainability. Embue is proud to be a small part of this wonderful project.
Riverside Towers, a joint venture between Schochet and Jonathan Rose Companies in Medford, MA, was recognized as a Community of Quality Exemplary Development for the Elderly by New England Affordable Housing Management Association at its Annual Conference and Trade Show earlier this month. The award recognizes outstanding property-management companies that demonstrate the highest possible quality of safe, affordable housing for lower-income individuals at particular sites. Riverside Towers, a 200-unit high-rise building serving approximately 250 elderly and disabled residents, includes amenities, social services and panoramic views of the Boston skyline. In 2023, the building underwent a multi-million dollar renovation to increase accessibility and update critical building systems. The building’s new sustainability features demonstrate a holistic approach to green affordable housing, qualifying it for Enterprise Green Communities certification. Each unit also received substantial upgrades, such as new kitchens and bathrooms designed to improve the quality of life of current and future residents. Hebrew SeniorLife was retained as an on-site resident services provider, offering its nationally recognized R3 Program (Right Care, Right Place, Right Time), which provides place-based services to improve emotional and physical well-being, increase independence and longevity, and reduce health care-costs. Hebrew SeniorLife uses the new on-site amenity spaces for programming that includes audiology and podiatry clinics, a library, state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, salons for people and pets, and dedicated space for a nurse care manager. Residents are benefiting from both group and one-on-one fitness instruction, which has resulted in increased mobility As a result of the renovations, amenities and services, Riverside Towers has enhanced the ability for residents to remain independent and age in place for a longer period of time, enjoying their home and community.

This Tangent 💚 Proptech episode is available on all platforms and on its website here: https://bit.ly/400yx6z. The folks at Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. do great work providing a wide range of services to the most underserved and at-risk residents of Boston -- and they need your help. As of yesterday, ABCD hadn't received a single donation for this season's annual toy drive. ☃️ ABCD needs approximately 6,500 toys to serve at least 800 families this year. We're proud to partner with ABCD's climate equity and impact team headed by James P. Collins IV, MBA. James and his team are working hard to ensure that affordable housing in Boston is energy efficient, sustainable, safe and comfortable for residents. Let's make sure there are presents for these residents this holiday season. Donations can dropped off at ABCD's Dorchester location by Friday during normal business hours. Toy donations can be initiated at https://lnkd.in/eWhKqCB3 Cash donations can be made online at bostonabcd.org/donate

Congratulations to 2Life Communities on receiving the Enterprise Green Communities certification at Coleman House, its 146-unit senior affordable property in Newton, MA. We're proud that our smart building platform is installed in this impressive project.
We are happy to announce that 2Life Communities' Coleman House is now Enterprise Green Communities certified! Coleman House is an affordable housing community for seniors in Newton, MA. This was an occupied rehabilitation, in which units were addressed in stacks-- residents were moved out, their units rehabbed, and moved back in, before moving to the next stacks.

🎉 Congratulations to the team at Trinity Management, LLC - Embue is thrilled to be a part of the Mei Wah Village project, making the building more energy efficient, sustainable, easier to manage -- and a nicer, more comfortable place to live.
Mei Wah Village, one of our senior housing developments in Boston’s Chinatown, is receiving federal funding to improve energy efficiency and resilience to climate change. HUD Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman and Mayor Michelle Wu visited the site to announce the funding, part of the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program in the Inflation Reduction Act. The investment will help fund critical upgrades like new windows, better ventilation, and pest control, making the building healthier and more sustainable. This project highlights the importance of preserving existing affordable housing to address the housing crisis while also ensuring resilience against climate impacts. @trinityfinancialinc #massachusetts #boston #trinitymanagement #trinityproperties #apartment #rentals #propertymanagement #multifamily #realestate #communityevents #chinatown #seniorliving
