Work hard, play silly games! 🎈 At eighty2i, we take our teambuilding games (un)seriously! Once a month, our global crew unites for 30 minutes of silly games that secretly boost our collaboration skills. Today's challenge? 'Stop the Car' - a word association game with a fun twist. Here's how it works: • Our moderator (the amazing Khollie) "Stops the car" at a random location (e.g., "at the birthday party!"), and picks a letter to start the game (like 'B') • Team 1 races to name something that starts with 'B'! (balloons) Then, they choose a letter from that word for Team 2 • Team 2 scrambles to name something at a party that starts with the chosen letter Our favorite answers: C - croquet V - Vicious screaming E - Electric Fence Silly sessions like these are a great opportunity to unwind, spark creativity, improve communication, and remind us that great ideas can come from the most unexpected places. Happy Tuesday! 🎉 #eighty2iCulture #TeamBuilding #WorkplaceCulture

Wondering what it takes to go from employee to founder? Every month, our team gets the opportunity to learn how founders blaze a trail, from the founders themselves. We call it Founder Friday, and last month, we were thrilled to welcome back Killian Dunne, former 82i employee, prop-tech enthusiast, and now founder, to pick his brain about what it takes to make the leap. 🧠Killian’s take: "Starting a company isn't just about having a great idea—it's about finding the right people, pivoting when needed, and never being afraid to change direction." Rally2024 was a blast! #VentureCapital #EmergingTech #digitalhealth #RALLY2024 #3686Fest
Coming away from an incredible conference run inspired and energized! My takeaways: Digital Health KC: Innovative founders tackling healthcare’s biggest challenges. Saw game-changing ideas that could transform patient care. Entrepreneurs in this space: let’s connect! RALLY: Cross-sector collaboration is rocket fuel for innovation. Universities + entrepreneurs + industry giants = next-gen healthcare solutions. If you’re working on bridging these sectors, I want to hear about it! LaunchTN #3686: An impressive ecosystem approach. So inspiring to witness connections flourishing between entrepreneurs, investors, and resources across sectors. Fellow investors, this is a hub to watch! Overall: Ecosystem is everything. Watching founders connect, collaborate, and challenge each other reinforces why I love what I do. So grateful for the opportunity to see old friends and make new connections. Who else attended these events? Raise your hand—let’s compare notes! #VentureCapital #EmergingTech #digitalhealth #RALLY2024 #3686Fest

Making Entrepreneurship Easier For Founders By Helping Raise Capital, Amplify Their Voice To The Market, and Scale Confidently
Just wrapped up #NYVS2024 - what a ride! So inspiring to be in a room packed with founders offering incredible products and services that solve meaningful challenges. Great to bump into familiar faces (looking at you, Grant B., Sandy Garrett, CFA, Istvan Petak, MD, PhD, Robert Rodriguez) and meet impressive new folks. These conversations reinforce why I do what I do. My biggest takeaway? The power of ecosystem. It's incredibly fulfilling to identify ways to help young founders overcome capital raise hurdles, revenue challenges, and other gaps preventing them from reaching company goals. Kudos to youngStartup Ventures for fostering this community. Excited to see these ideas turn into thriving businesses. Who else was there? Let's compare notes! #VentureCapital #Startups #Innovation #NYVS2024 #Networking #Entrepreneurship

At the heart of entrepreneurship lies the audacity to defy norms and challenge conventions. While large corporations may find comfort in the safety of established practices, startups thrive on the exhilarating journey of innovation and risk-taking. They pioneer new trails, reshaping industries with bold ideas and unwavering determination. Paul Graham’s wisdom serves as a poignant reminder that true success stems not from conformity, but from the courage to carve our own paths and dare to be different. As founders, embracing this entrepreneurial spirit ignites every groundbreaking venture and fosters innovation at its core. Thanks to David Senra for his thought-provoking feature on ‘Hackers and Painters: Big Ideas From The Computer Age’ in podcast episode ‘#277 Paul Graham’s Essays Part 3’. #FoundersPodcast #StudentsOfEntrepreneurship #Entrepreneurship #PaulGraham

When you’re building something from the ground up, every decision matters. Mediocre opportunities may seem tempting, but true success lies in pursuing greatness. It’s about recognizing the difference between good and exceptional and having the courage to chase the latter. Reflecting on Ogilvy's wisdom, we realize that merely observing what's already out there isn't enough. We must push the boundaries of conventional wisdom, challenge assumptions, and cultivate a mindset of creative exploration. 🚀 As we delve deeper into our entrepreneurial journey, let's ponder: What can we see in our industry that everyone else is overlooking? Take some time to challenge our assumptions and see the world with fresh eyes. This is where true breakthroughs happen. Simply interacting with colleagues helps us organize our thoughts, allowing us to express and improve our ideas. In the entrepreneurial journey, where challenges are common and decisions are important, working together boosts creativity and advancement. By understanding the importance of others' ideas and viewpoints, entrepreneurs can use collaboration to handle difficulties, solve problems, and achieve success in their endeavors.
