We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been named to Inc. Magazine’s 2024 Best in Business list for our leadership in the sustainability category! The Best in Business awards honors companies that have made significant contributions to their industries and society, celebrating those who lead with purpose and innovation. We are proud of the efforts we’ve made towards our commitment in sustainability and most notably the introduction of our new packaging formats that ensures both the freshness of our produce while reducing the use of plastics. In 2024: 🌱We completed our conversion of peel-and-reseal lids with 100% recycled plastic trays, reducing plastic use by over 4 million pounds annually. 🌱We launched a first-of-its-kind plant-based tray made from recycled plant-based fibers, using 95% less plastic than the standard clamshell package. It’s an honor to be recognized among this impressive group of peers. This is just one step on our sustainability journey, and we are inspired to continue learning more. You can learn more about this year’s #BestInBusiness list at: inc.com/best-in-business Thank you to our dedicated team and to all who support our mission to create a more sustainable world! #Sustainability #BestInBusiness #EarthboundFarm #OrganicFarming #InnovativePackaging #EnvironmentalStewardship

Cultivating a healthier world through organic food and farming
About us
Farmer and family-owned since 1984, Earthbound has built a legacy as innovators in organic farming. We were among the first to adopt automated harvesters, to harness renewable energy, and to utilize drones that release plant-friendly insects to help grow our greens, naturally. Today, our aim is to make organic produce more accessible to everyone, while magnifying its global benefits. This means promoting biodiversity, protecting habitats, and restoring healthy soil for future generations. We’re committed to doing right by people and the Earth.

Congress will vote on a long-term spending package soon. Without full funding, the fruit and vegetable benefit in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) could be slashed by 70% for women and 56% for kids – bringing the allotment down to just $13 and $11 a month for fruits and vegetables. This translates to a more than $1 billion cut in retail produce sales. Join us for #WICNationalDayofAction and tell Congress that fruits and vegetables cannot be the food group they choose to cut! https://lnkd.in/exdEEvn2
