A Request for Information (RFI) from ARPA-E on Geologic Hydrogen Resource Exploration. As with all RFI's we are looking to hear from stakeholders across the complete value chain, from academics to end users and investors. To really unlock the potential of geologic hydrogen we need to rapidly innovate new techniques and approaches to find, characterize and quantify commercially relevant natural hydrogen accumulations or source rocks that can be coaxed into producing hydrogen. All information will be of great value as we try to determine what needs to be done.

📣 Ce mardi 23 juillet, un accord a été signé entre l’ONHYM - National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines et STORENGY afin d'évaluer le potentiel en hydrogène naturel dans la zone de la Meseta Côtière au Maroc. 🌍 Signé par Mme Amina Benkhadra, Directrice Générale de l’ONHYM et M. Alain Caracatzanis, Directeur Général de Storengy SAS, cet accord représente une avancée significative pour le développement de l'hydrogène naturel. L’hydrogène naturel ouvre des perspectives prometteuses pour la production d'hydrogène bas-carbone à des coûts compétitifs, en complément de l'hydrogène renouvelable. Son exploration commence à peine dans le monde et le Maroc se distingue comme précurseur en évaluant, sous l'égide de l'ONHYM, le potentiel de l'hydrogène naturel sur son territoire. La région de la Meseta Côtière, identifiée comme zone prospective, pourrait ainsi bénéficier directement de cette ressource pour décarboner ses industries. Merci aux représentants de l'ONHYM warda naja, Mustapha Chaib, Othman SADKI pour votre implication et celle de vos équipes. 🔎 L'hydrogène naturel fait parler de lui et ça se passe dans le rapport de l'Académie des sciences publié le 9 avril 2024. 📚 Dans son rapport intitulé "L'hydrogène aujourd'hui et demain", l'Académie des Sciences aborde la question de l'hydrogène naturel et de son intérêt dans le mix d'hydrogène bas carbone. Il fait également état des connaissances et des hypothèses concernant ce gaz écoresponsable. ➡️ En conclusion, l'Académie des sciences est claire : "il est recommandé de soutenir rapidement et sans hésitation les projets d'exploration du sol français visant à évaluer rigoureusement le potentiel réel en hydrogène naturel".
