On November 15, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas invalidated the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Final Overtime Rule, effectively halting its enforcement nationwide. The 2024 rule had significantly increased the minimum salary levels required for employees to qualify as overtime-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) white-collar exemptions. Read our blog with the link below to see what the ruling means for employers. https://hubs.ly/Q02Yyt1W0 #HR #HumanResources

For this segment of #GetToKnowCGO, get to know Kyle Todd! What is Kyle's role? Kyle is a Partner - #EmployeeBenefits here at CGO. How does Kyle help CGO clients? "I strive to be the trusted resource for my clients, as they navigate the challenging employee benefits landscape. There are countless individuals with the title of benefits consultant, but I truly embrace the role as a responsibility. I seek to engage with my clients to develop a partnership in the effort to provide access to valuable healthcare for their employees, while working to control the rising costs." "I also invest my time heavily in developing my network. There is great satisfaction in cultivating reciprocal referral relationships, and being the conduit to provide guidance to those in your community - helping others never gets old." 3 things about Kyle: 1. "I am a proud Naperville native: Naperville Central and North Central College Alum. I’m married with 4 boys, and reside in Naperville in my restored childhood home." 2. "As a competitive runner at NCC, I had the opportunity to be the rabbit (1/2 mile pacesetter) for Olympian Jim Spivey, to run the first outdoor sub-4 minute mile in the Chicagoland area. On May 17th, 1994 this was achieved with a time of 3:59.4." 3. "I’m an avid collector and consumer of wine, and a motorcycle enthusiast with a 100 Year Anniversary Harley Davidson." #EmployeeSpotlight
