That's a wrap on leaf collection! 🍂 🚚 Over 9 weeks this fall, our Public Service team collected 1,200+ truckloads of leaves—averaging 135 truckloads a week! 🤯 To put that into perspective, that’s enough leaves to fill The Horseshoe from end zone to end zone, 8 ½ feet high! 🏈 🏟️ Who knew so many leaves existed?! Huge shoutout to our hardworking team for crushing it this season and keeping Upper Arlington looking its best. 👏 #LeafCollection #PublicService #UpperArlington
About us
The City of Upper Arlington is a first-ring, primarily residential suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1918, and just under 10 square miles in size, Upper Arlington is called home by more than 33,000 residents, with multiple generations of the same family to be found in close proximity to each other. They value its strong sense of tradition and community, excellent school system, beautiful neighborhoods with mature street trees and the many exceptional safety and City services that are provided. Over the decades, the community has often been a leader in setting the standard for quality of life expectations. The City boasts an extensive and well-used network of community parks with a rich variety of active and passive recreational opportunities. Community gatherings and celebrations are the standard, not the exception here, including a resident-driven Fourth of July parade and festival, the region’s premier one-day arts festival over Labor Day Weekend, summer concerts and more. It's no wonder that Family Circle Magazine rated Upper Arlington as one of the nation's Top 10 Best Towns For Families. We're pretty smart too--www.nerdwallet.com ranked Upper Arlington as the 8th most educated place in America. Interested in a position with the City of Upper Arlington? Who says you can't play pickleball in 30-degree weather? ❄️🏓 City of Upper Arlington staff braved the chilly temps recently and joined Marker, Inc. for a friendly pickleball match at Northam Park! Let’s just say, the competition was as hot as the cocoa we needed afterwards! ☕ The brand-new pickleball courts are part of exciting updates coming to Northam Park, which include six pickleball courts, nine clay tennis courts, and a new shelter and service building. We couldn’t resist testing out the courts ahead of the official spring opening, while also taking a moment to thank the Marker, Inc. crews for their hard work! #Pickleball #NorthamPark #UpperArlington
