C.Scale helps AEC and RE professionals measure, manage, and reduce whole life carbon emissions 🏗️🏢🌍
About us
C.Scale empowers portfolio managers, architects, and engineers plan toward decarbonization, even when data is scarce. C.Scale democratizes access to carbon mitigation strategies without the high cost of specialized consulting and with a minimum of billable hours. The C.Scale app helps over 5,000 AEC professionals aim for carbon neutrality in their buildings. As the industry progresses past net zero energy and towards zero carbon design, C.Scale is an essential tool for weighing embodied and operational carbon decisions early in the design process. Our predictive SaaS platform uses AI and ML models to provide comprehensive carbon insights, helping project teams steer towards ambitious, yet realistic, carbon reduction goals at the earliest moment possible. This helps teams avoid the unwanted and unpredictable costs associated with consultant review, redesign, and change orders. Additionally, when highly-detailed energy modeling and life cycle assessment (LCA) aren't affordable or practicable, teams use C.Scale to plan their decarbonization strategy. API Our API is designed to help software-savvy organizations and other SaaS tools add whole life carbon analysis to their workflows. Our whole life carbon API is continuously improved by data scientists, vetted by architects, and validated by third-party reviewers. We obsess about whole life carbon estimates so you can focus on building your product, your buildings, and your core business.

“We need to do more talking beyond our community and instead bring along everyone else with us,” argues Efrie Escott, our fabulous client at Schneider Electric on Lindsay Baker and Kira Gould’s podcast released today. “We don’t have time to move slowly. We need to be more intentional…that we are accelerating not only the front end but the middle.” We couldn’t agree more. Our work centering lifecycle assessment in the building design process, and leveraging data to do so, is geared towards opening up insights to every designer everywhere even if they don’t have a background in LCA or energy modeling. Thanks Efrie and SE for the opportunity to support your work moving building retrofits front and center in the decarbonization movement. https://lnkd.in/gBPgXJzV

For the many of you who were unable to attend Greenbuild last month, we invite you to join an expanded, virtual-only version of this unique session that will explore pathways toward radical embodied carbon reduction available now, with other sources of carbon emissions that must be tackled to bring us to a fully zero-emission built environment. Experts with diverse perspectives from sustainable design consulting, architecture, owner/developers and research will discuss overarching strategies, freely available embodied carbon calculation tools, detailed case studies, examples of offsets, including projects that target “absolute zero carbon.” We will allow time for participants to engage in a moderated discussion with the panel: Claire Maxfield, Brad Jacobson, FAIA, Don Davies and Matt Roberts Read more details on this CBE event page: https://lnkd.in/gFbqwiQs Or register now here (login required): https://lnkd.in/gUmVjfAB This event is free and open to the public, and co-sponsored by PG&E and UC Berkeley’s Center for the Built Environment. #decarbonization #sustainabledevelopment #energyefficiency, #circulareconomy #carbonemissions C.Scale

The right 🔧 for the right 🏗️. Too often, data visualization is an afterthought to the analysis itself. But the same data presented different ways can support different questions. We've been working for years on a set of visualizations to help teams explore and commit to decarbonization plans during early design phases. Here's our "cheat sheet" on the figures currently available in C.Scale and how they can be used to drive decisions. More you'd like to see? Reach out to [email protected]. we'd love to hear your feedback. #carbon #datavisualization #decarbonization #design
