Known as Repeal Day, this moment marked the return of legal drinking—and so much more. It wasn’t just about alcohol; it was a celebration of freedom, progress, and inclusion. During the Prohibition era, speakeasies flourished as places where barriers broke down. Women gained access to social spaces like never before (little known fact, prior to this time women were not legally allowed in bars), jazz music sparked cultural revolutions, and bold ideas about equality began to emerge. Because of this and more, Blind Tiger was born. This history runs deep in our DNA. Named after the Prohibition-era term for hidden drinking spots, we were born out of our own speakeasy, Room 33, during the challenges of the pandemic.
