Deploying EV chargers quickly and efficiently requires visibility into the electric grid. Specifically, EV charging developers need to know how much power is available at the locations they’re scouting as future stations for drivers to plug in. 🔌 A new publication by Atlas Public Policy and Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) explains how “hosting capacity maps” increase transparency about available on-site power, which is valuable for developers and utilities because it by reducing costs and accelerating timelines. The availability of hosting capacity maps will help accelerate deployments of EVSEs, especially as NEVI deployment in states reaches the fully built out phase. 🗺️ Lower costs and faster deployment mean more charging, more quickly, which is a win for drivers, ratepayers, and industry. ⚡ See how these maps are being used: https://lnkd.in/gqYhua5r
