She has traveled the world sampling local cuisines and ingredients to understand global dining, drinking and restaurant trends, and has taught hundreds of home cooks how to chop an onion. A trained cheese monger, she holds a professional cheese certification from the American Cheese Society. Education Futterman received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, then went on to complete the culinary program at The Restaurant School in Philadelphia.
