About this audiobook
The 6 Types of Working Genius is the fastest way to help people identify the type of work that brings them joy and energy—and avoid work that leads to frustration and burnout.
Beyond the personal discovery and instant relief that the Working Genius provides, the model also gives teams a remarkably simple and practical framework for tapping into one another’s natural gifts, which increases productivity and reduces unnecessary judgment.
In classic Lencioni fashion, Pat brings his model to life in a page-turning fable that is as relatable as it is compelling. He tells the story of Bull Brooks, an entrepreneur, husband, and father, who sets out to solve his own frustration at
work and stumbles into a new way of thinking that changes the way he sees his work, his team, and even his marriage.
What sets this book—and the model behind it—apart from other tools and assessments is the speed at which it can be understood and applied, and the relevance it has to every kind of work in life, from running a company to launching a product to managing a family.

What our readers think
Readers find this title truly superb, exceptional, and amazing. They appreciate the essence of the system and how it has transformed their businesses and revolutionized the way they work with others. Some reviewers mention unnecessary cursing and wish the author had written a straight-up memoir instead of a parable. Overall, this book provides an orderly resource for understanding how people really work and improving team effectiveness.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love the Working Genius model and have binged on the podcast! So glad to have this orderly resource with everything all in one place.
Some of the language was surprising and felt unnecessary, undiscerning perhaps, and that's why I didn't give this 5 stars--I would recommend it to almost anyone, but often with a caveat.
It was curious how closely the "parable" followed Pat's own life and experience, and I kind of wish he had just written a straight up memoir.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing book. I didn't appreciate the unnecessary cursing and foul mouth of the author but the essence of his system works great. It's already transformed my business with 8 team members just by listening to a podcast interview of him explaining this. I got the book because I wanted to go deeper on this subject and I'm feeling much more equipped and ready to go through this process on a deeper level with my team. Already this framework has revolutionized the way I work with others.

Instead of executing, influencing, relationship and.stratregic thinking it became executing = (enabler + tenacity), influencing (galvanising) , relationship(wonder, enabler), strategic thinking (wonder, ideation, discernment)
