Singer George Michael died of natural causes, a coroner confirmed on Tuesday.
According to the BBC, senior coroner Darren Salter said Michael died of a dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
The pop star died on Christmas Day at the age of 53.
While Thames Valley Police had deemed the post-mortem "inconclusive" in December, they had added that the death was "still being treated as unexplained but not suspicious."
A statement from the coroner on Tuesday said: "Inquires into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post-mortem report received."
"As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries."
Michael was born in 1963 as Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, and gained fame for his pop group Wham! in the early 1980s.
He then went on to launch a multi-platinum solo career that earned him two Grammy awards.
Some of his most popular solo hits include "Faith" and "Freedom '90," and he sold more than a hundred million records throughout his career.
"No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and public respect their privacy," the statement concluded.
