No child should dread Christmas. Christmas should be a day of joy, excitement and giggles bubbling over – as cheesy as that sounds. It should be a day of happiness, but for some, it isn’t. For many, they don’t rush down the stairs on Christmas day, waiting to see what Santa left. They don’t struggle to sleep on Christmas Eve because the excitement of the day is just too much. They don’t rummage under the Christmas tree, through presents to see if Santa left that one specific gift, they asked for on their Christmas list. For many children living in poverty, Christmas is just another day. But you genuinely have the power to help. Now is the time I share a link, hoping that you might donate to Cash for Kids Greater Manchester. Bold request, but, as we all know, many do not have the financial means to donate to a random post on LinkedIn. Therefore, donate if you can – repost this if you aren’t in a position to donate. Thank you. Smarta Energy #CashForKids https://lnkd.in/ddzSDtC5

  • Earlier this year we were all shocked by the devastating tragedy that took place in Southport. We all wanted to do something to help, and at Cash for Kids we were no different. We asked you if you would make a donation to enable us to support the local community. As always you were amazing 🩷💚 A few months on we wanted to let you know how we’ve used those donations. We spoke to Laura Hughes, founder of the Know Knife Crime campaign, who we’re proud to partner with at Cash for Kids.

  • Thanks to your donations last year, we were able to make a little Christmas magic for over 36,000 children across Greater Manchester🎁🎅 It is thanks to YOU that we were able to make Christmas special for this family. If you are in a position to get involved with Mission Christmas 2024 then please email [email protected] now to get involved. Together, we can make a difference to childrens lives this Christmas 💙

I want to give a little shout out to this little superstar Noah 💙 On Saturday, 7 year old Noah will be taking part in Lidl Mudders, the child equivalent of Tough Mudder and he is doing it in aid of Cash for Kids Mission Christmas. 🎅🎁 The money raised by little Noah will allow us to go out to wholesalers who we have incredible relationships with, to buy gifts for below face value. Meaning the money Noah raises will go such a long way in helping lots of children across Greater Manchester experience the magic of Christmas on Christmas morning 🎅💙 There is something SO special about children helping children 💚 A big thank you to Kimberley Smith for allowing me to share this 💙 GOOD LUCK NOAH, team Cash for Kids Greater Manchester will be cheering you on the whole way! Noah has already smashed his first fundraising target and is doing incredible, you can see Noahs fundraising here - https://lnkd.in/eNAH5XSQ 🎁If you would like to get invovled in some Mission Christmas fundraising, please do get in touch today. • This week a number of our radio station friends are helping us raise awareness of an issue that isn't often talked about. Period poverty is affecting thousands of young people, but due to the stigma of talking about periods, it's often a hidden issue. Magic, KISS, Planet Rock and Kerrang! Radio are talking about this on-air this week and also encouraging listeners to make a donation to help us make period products easily accessible for those that need them most. Last night our Lucy was invited onto 'The Up' on KISS to talk to Harriet & Henrie about the issue. Find out more about why we're talking about period poverty this week at kissfmuk.com/cashforkids
