Looking back on another successful London 2 Paris event for Cure Leukaemia and I think this year exceeds the rest! Biggest participant numbers EVER at 200 riders, an 80-strong support crew and a fundraising total of over £400,000 announced on Sunday evening. For me, the Day 4 highlights sum up the trip in less than 120 seconds - incredible camaraderie, team spirit and emotion as the team finishes in Paris! The odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 292 million. Yet, over 54% of Americans play the Powerball every year. People think the lottery levels the playing field. But actually, the worse off you are, the worse it gets. People earning: - $75,000 a year spend $105 on lottery tickets. - $30,000 a year spend $412 a year. - $12,400 or less spend $620 – 5% of their income! This might seem strange – why would anyone throw away their income on a near-zero chance? But you have to understand how this works. Powerball tickets start from $2. "Who cares about so little", right? If you win the lottery, you could win millions and "change your life". Here's the thing: If you buy a ton of tickets, the odds of winning remain NEAR ZERO. But the dollars you spend would pile up into the hundreds. It's easier to see the shining promise of a lottery but difficult to imagine how those dollars could compound to create wealth. The lottery is the most relatable example. But speculation of any kind can have the same effect, like picking the "winning stock" instead of indexing, or trying to time the market. If you think your hobby is harmless, ask yourself: How does it add up over the years?

🎹 Producers there is always an opportunity for your music to be used in sync even if that music is old. I’m gonna show you how in a second but first check this out.. I had some music placed on some of the Pro Volleyball Federation games. This is a brand new deal with CBS Sports that obviously needed music. (Think pre-game, post game, breaks, etc.) 🛑 But THIS is the crazy part…the music that was placed on these games was music I produced back in 2016. It’s a BIG week for data insights at SAB 📊 The WSL kicks off tonight so it was only right we found out how excited our audience were and how they’d be watching the games this season 🫶 ➡️ 99% of people are excited for the WSL to be back 🙌 ➡️ We also found that 54% of women’s football fans watch games alone - a staggering number and sad to see… What could be the reason behind this❓ 👉 For London-based clubs, WSL games are hosted at women’s home grounds, which are based further out of central London. Just 5/12 are located in London. 👉 This means that travel distance and commute costs are barriers to attending games in person 😩 👉 Another reason could be limited fan opportunities to watch WSL games out of home. We also asked our audience how they will be watching the games: 👉 54% online (YouTube/DAZN/club channels) 👉 29% TV 👉 14% in person 👉 3% just catch-up on socials As women’s football grows, it’s vital to increase accessibility and create opportunities for the community to come together over their love for the game 🫶 #shesaballer | #WSL

Surge pricing! Just read on LinkedIn that MegaMillions (with Powerball sure to follow) is contemplating increasing its ticket price from $2 to $5. A price increase which could negatively impact ticket sales at low grand prize levels slowing jackpot growth drawing to drawing. Wouldn't a better idea be to institute 'surge' pricing during huge grand prize build ups? Consumers are familiar with the practice from Uber to hotel rooms. $5 tickets kick in when the jackpot reaches $500 million? $6 at $1 billion? A pricing strategy that would allow lotteries to maximize profits during the industry's 'Super Bowl' prize events. Remember that a lottery's MegaMillions and Powerball games generate more revenue to good causes per ticket sold than any other lottery product. I'd urge Directors to consider surge pricing instead of just a price increase borne by inflation weary lottery supporters.
