Diversity in UK ads is declining   What’s going wrong?   Representation of minorities, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities in UK advertising has dropped by 7% compared to last year. This is according to the Insights Accelerated 2024 report, that dropped yesterday. Despite this the report highlighted that 1 in 3 consumers avoid brands that neglect Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. What is happening?   Consumers are clearly calling for deeper, more consistent representation in the content they consume. One that reflects real life.   It’s not about hitting a quota or ticking a diversity box. In 2024, it’s clear that a shift is needed. Consumers are demanding more.
