I will save you all from the potential of a humble brag here and do the thing I am known best for, honesty. Here's a quick run down of some key events leading to this: - September 2013 = Set up DMPG with Tom. At the time we did not actually have any plan to scale the company. We just wanted to be in control of the what we did to ensure the best quality outcomes for our clients. - Mid 2016 = After a few years of toiling, working 100 hour weeks in many cases and struggling to bring any form of scale to what we did we decided the answer was to focus + hire. Focus on a very narrow set of services for our clients (Data Collection & Data Activation) and start building a team to actually scale this business beyond just the two of us. - End of 2017 = After some tremendous growth and some disastrous hires (among some excellent hires), we realised we had actually built a company that had an identity a culture and an ethos. We captured those and we still stand true to them today: Be The Client / Reduce Complication & Increase Value / Good Work Takes Time / Always Over-Deliver. - End of 2019 = After more tremendous growth we now saw the full potential in what we could create at DMPG. We had 20 employees by the end of 2019 and we had a clear path for how we were going to get to 80 employees. Tom and I were 'all in' on this and were prepared to reinvest every penny of profit into DMPG to make it a reality. - 2020 = This was a major test for DMPG. Initially it looked like a doomsday scenario. At the beginning of April we genuinely did not know if we'd still have a company by the end of 2020. We took the view to ignore any contractual commitments our clients may have agreed to and just work through it together, however that looked. We used all our spare time to get certified, improve internal systems and documentation. We got ourselves ready for the new post-Covid world. - 2021 = Our 'gamble' paid off - we grew 45% compared to 2020. We had also made the decision to become more global. This meant a global workforce - finding the best talent regardless of the country they were resident - and a global client footprint. We already had a few clients in North America but we launched in Australia early in 2021 and quietly prepared our North American launch. We also turned down a lot of potential buyers who just could not offer us the opportunity to scale beyond the means we already had. - 2023 = We were now up to 35 people operating in 3 regions with a globalised workforce. I could count on 1 finger the number of clients we had lost and on one hand the number of team members we had lost in the last 2 years... but growth was still slower than we wanted - 2024 = Havas were the only suiter to meet our high demands for a buyer. A combination of like-mindedness, global client opportunities and future opportunities for the DMPG team meant that we were ready to pull the trigger. I am really looking forward to what the future holds!

Gen AI means more reputation risk Generative AI is revolutionising the process of creating communications content. And it's directly changing media consumption habits, accelerating the disintermediation of mainstream media and facilitating the rise of alternative content sources. Meanwhile the proliferation of synthetic media content has negative implications for trust and authenticity. Criteo & Microsoft become bed fellows in seeking to conquer and simplify the retail media landscape. Both have a interesting retail media proposition independently, but together this becomes very powerful, especially given both have deep retail/commerce knowledge and because of Microsoft/OpenAI’s ability to bring GenAI to the party to solve for the many complexities of retail… ..including but not limited to cross functional collaboration, the volume of SKU’s, custom attribution for different products, in flight optimisation, measuring incrementality and streamlining creative asset production.
