Frameworks - why they need to be part of your business development strategy if you want public sector clients. The main reason is that it gives your sales prospects an easy way to procure you. I hear time and time again where an SME has built a relationship with a public sector organisation, the organisation is really keen on the product or service but then the conversation stalls because there is no easy way for them to procure the SME. This is why being on a Framework is so important. Now I know that anything competed via a Framework goes to all suppliers on the Framework but even being part of that much smaller list of suppliers increases your odds of being purchased hugely. If you aren’t on a Framework that potential customers can procure you via then you are going to be missing out on sales. There is also the added benefit of inbound opportunities. New business opportunities when buyers outside of existing relationships that you have run competitions through the Framework which you can submit a response to. Something you maybe didn't know about me!!
