Just read the new nasscom report (Digital Enterprise 5.0, done with Avasant). Few interesting take-aways for the Telecom, Media & Entertainment (TME) sector: ⏩ It's exciting to see how much more digitally savvy these companies have become in 2023 compared to the previous year. ⏩ This is further evidenced by a notable increase in digital spending. Over 70% of TME companies, along with their counterparts in banking and utilities, are putting more than 20% of their tech budgets towards digital. That's a serious commitment. ⏩ The report also shows that TME companies are getting smart about building their digital muscle. More than 65% of them have set up offshore capability centers in last couple of years. This suggests they're both building their own expertise in digital technologies and finding some cost-effective talent overseas.
