After years of anticipation, the integration of public cloud in the Telco industry has been a challenging process. The industry has faced several obstacles such as location, regulations, E2E lifecycle management, scalability, and infrastructure needs that have made it difficult to separate or migrate Telco workloads from one datacenter to another, delaying the entry of public cloud in the core. It is essential to understand that the industry needs more time to mature before significant changes are made. As the industry continues to evolve, it is crucial to keep an eye on the developments and advancements in the cloud space.

Interesting read on the use of #PublicCloud in Telecoms. The article highlights the challenges to adoption of Cloud in telco providers, but the liberal use of "jargon as a service" (is CaaS any different than PaaS?) and open source will impede the acceptance with compliance teams. Cloud is amazing for content deliver, but is having to fail fast to deliver telco services.
