☁Cloud Computing!
⛅ In this month's edition we are focusing Operating System/Cloud Computing. An operating system (OS) manages a computer's hardware and software, allowing applications to run smoothly. Early OS designs handled single tasks, but modern ones like Windows, Linux, and macOS support multitasking, resource management, and security. They’ve evolved to enable faster, more efficient computing, shaping how we interact with technology today.

A few weeks ago, I experienced "AI for the Rest of Us" - a conference that broke the mold of typical AI events!
Quick thanks to Hannah Foxwell for partnering with WomenCoding Community and the wonderful volunteers who made our booth presence possible! 🙌
Madhura C., Ying Liu, Vivien S, Prabha Venkatesh, Sahana Venkatesh, Derya and Eemma Acquah
What Made This Conference Different?
Unlike typical AI conferences filled with technical jargon and futuristic promises, this event stood out by:
- Bringing fresh voices: a 13-year-old's perspective on growing up with AI
- Zero buzzword bingo: challenging the "AI everywhere" hype with practical reality
- True accessibility: focusing on the "rest of us" who need to implement AI in the real world
- Honest discussions: openly addressing limitations and when simpler solutions work better
Here are some interesting shifts emerging in AI:
1. 🎯 The "Post-Hype" Reality
- Moving from "AI everywhere" to "AI where it matters"
- Rise of focused, smaller ML models over large language models
- Growing emphasis on measuring real business impact
2. 🧐 AI Governance Evolution
- Shift from abstract ethics to practical governance frameworks
- Focus on transparency and explainability in regulated environments
- Growing importance of AI risk management
- Need for clear organizational AI policies
3. 🔄 Organizational Transformation
- AI forcing restructure of traditional team boundaries
- New roles emerging at the intersection of business and AI
- Culture change is becoming as crucial as technical implementation
- Need for AI literacy across all levels
4. 💡 Democratization of AI
- Tools becoming accessible to non-technical users
- Rise of no-code/low-code AI solutions
- Focus on practical applications over technical complexity
- Growing importance of AI literacy for all roles
5. 🎯 Focus on Implementation Reality
- Emphasis on solving real business problems
- Recognition of AI's limitations and appropriate use cases
- Growing importance of integration with existing systems
- Shift from proof-of-concept to production-ready solutions
The Big Picture? We're entering a more mature, pragmatic phase of AI adoption. It's less about the technology itself and more about thoughtful, responsible implementation that delivers real value.
