They also sell culinary paste and preserved lemons through leading retailers. Last month, colleagues from across our Group joined together to conquer Mount Snowden with the aim of raising funds for charities close to their business's heart. We are over the moon to say our colleagues raised a fantastic £7,127! Well done to all that took part in the event on a very wet and drizzly day in Wales. It was great to see colleagues from across the Group come together and challenge themselves for a good cause, and living our WJFG values - Try your Hardest, Play your Part, Be Positive, Collaborate, Care. Our colleagues at Wellocks have been out volunteering in their local community - well done team!
This month a group of our colleagues spent their volunteering day supporting our local community at the Gannow Community Centre at their family-fun day! Operated by Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Community Volunteer Service, the family-fun day involved lots of activities including raffles, tombolas and games to entertain. Our team used their skills in the kitchen to provide hot dogs and pizza, as well as hot and cold drinks. The day welcomed several first time families and was a great success in raising well-needed funds for the centre. We look forward to more volunteering opportunities within our local community in the near future.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we’ve won the Gold Award for ‘Sustainable Innovation of the Year’, at the 2024 Environmental Packaging Awards. Our ground-breaking Club Zero Refillable Milk Bottle impressed the judges, as an effective way to use plastic packaging responsibly and sustainably. We want to thank everyone who worked hard over the three years of testing it took to crack refillable milk bottles. Yesterday teams of colleagues from across our Group came together for our WJFG Raft Racing competition! Teams worked together to win building materials which they then used to build their rafts, ready for the final challenge - Raft Racing. A huge well done to the Wellocks team who took home the winners trophy. Thank you to all who took part - it was a fantastic day. Bring on our next event in September where we will see colleagues conquer Snowden. We're delighted to welcome Lottie Shaw's to the William Jackson Food Group family following an acquisition announced today. Lottie Shaw’s, based in Brighouse Yorkshire, is loved nationwide for its range of premium treats, which are baked in a craft bakery using family recipes handed down over three generations. Sold online and via wholesalers, the Lottie Shaw’s range includes their award-winning signature Yorkshire Parkin. Both businesses have so many things in common besides baking – both enjoy the magic that comes from being family owned, our values and cultures are aligned, and we complement each other perfectly. While becoming an extension of our bakery Jacksons, Lottie Shaw’s will operate as a stand-alone business and will continue to trade as Lottie Shaw’s, rather than Jacksons. The new partnership will help us broaden Jacksons’ reach beyond sliced bread and provide Lottie Shaw’s with additional expertise and scale to help secure long-term future growth.
