The Autumn Budget could have unexpected impacts on workplace wellbeing. In Workplace Wellbeing Professional latest article, they address Chancellor Rachel Reeves aims to address economic issues. Particularly measures like increased employer National Insurance and adjustments to Capital Gains Tax, which may force businesses to rethink investments in employee health. Our Group CEO, Dave Capper notes that wellbeing programmes aren’t just costs; they’re critical to keeping employees resilient, healthy, and productive. But with budgets stretched, there’s a real risk these essential programmes could be sidelined, leading to higher burnout and absenteeism. Dave also sees a missed opportunity in keeping the Insurance Premium Tax high, which could have made private health insurance more affordable and taken some pressure off the NHS. As businesses face tighter budgets, will employee wellbeing remain a priority? Time will tell. All the leaves were brown, and the sky was grey... but our Finance team brought the energy as they spent the day giving back at Sheffield Mencap & Gateway! 🍂 Sheffield Mencap and Gateway is an independent charity formed in 1951 by the parents of children with learning disabilities.Their vision is that all people with a learning disability and their carers in Sheffield are valued, included and respected so they can live fair, full and happy lives. 💪 The team gathered at 9am, ready to lend a hand to this incredible charity. With one eventful day ahead, they dug right in with plenty of enthusiasm (and more than a few cups of tea ☕). 🍁 They tackled a range of tasks, from fixing the planter, clearing leaves, and trimming gardens to cleaning windows and tidying the compost area. Their hard work brought a fresh look to the grounds. ☕ At noon they earned a well-deserved break, strolling through Norfolk Park to recharge at the café before diving back in for their afternoon shift. Every team member put in their best effort showing what it means to embrace the Westfield way and the power of teamwork. A big thank you to Mencap Sheffield for the opportunity to connect and contribute to their cause. We’re grateful for opportunities like this, it makes giving back so rewarding. 🔗: https://bit.ly/3SxgYpF #WestfieldWay #WestfieldOne #GivingBack #Charity Helen Etty, Joshua Davison, Dan Smith, Charlotte Vickery, Lisa Stent, Tom Goacher, Shaun Kelly
