Our colleague network, Vets@Virgin, do a huge amount of work to help veterans move back to civilian life. Colleagues across Virgin Money have their own stories, whether they have family in the service or have served themselves. It’s Money and Pensions Service Talk Money Week, and the theme is ‘Do One Thing’. We want to make some noise about one of the things we’re doing to start conversations in our UK classrooms. Make £5 Grow is our fun, engaging project for primary school pupils designed to help kids better understand how money works and develop skills that will be invaluable later in life. We've helped over 220,000 pupils, develop an enterprising spirit, while learning about money management, financial and risk awareness. Throughout October, led by our incredible Embrace Network, Virgin Money has celebrated Black History. Here's what we've been up to: ❤️ Our colleagues showed up to support the 10th anniversary of ‘Wear Red to Work’, a day championed by the anti-racism educational charity Show Racism the Red Card. 💬 The incredible Enoch Adeyemi, founder and CEO of Black Professionals Scotland inspired colleagues with his own migration story and shared what this year’s theme, ‘Reclaiming the Narrative’, meant to him. 🍲 We celebrated our colleagues culture with a bespoke menu’s inspired by Black cultures from across the world which was available in our Bothwell Street and Gosforth Offices. 🤝 Our colleagues had the chance to attend networking events with Investing in Ethnicity and the BT Group – connecting with other industry professionals and sharing insight. ⭐ Syreeta Brown, FCIPD CMgr CCMI, our Chief People Officer, was included in Powerful Media’s Powerlist for 2025, making the list for the second year in a row and Ugo Eboh was featured in the #EthnicityAwards Top 10 for Workplace Hero. Flexibility. For some, it's about being able to touch your toes. For others, it's the ease at which you can change your plans to navigate the complexities of work and life. Gill Blee started running in 2012 to keep physically and mentally fit, the flexibility of working with Virgin Money allowed her to achieve things beyond her wildest (running) dreams. *'Eye of the Tiger - Survivor' fades in* Rising up… flexing her hours, location and wellbeing days meant she had more time and energy to focus on her training. This weekend, Gillian will be running the New York City Marathon. Go on, cheer her on in the comments ❤️

Happy Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas! Virgin Money’s Embrace Network exists to celebrate what makes our individual cultures unique. So, we asked our colleagues how they celebrate the day, take a look 👇  ❤️ "Bandi Chhor Divas is a time to get together with family, friends, and the community. We normally celebrate by going to the Gurdwara (Sikh temple) where the whole local Sikh community also congregates, we light a candle/diva to mimic our ancestors from 1619, serve and eat langar (Sikh free communal kitchen), and the night is normally signed off by a fireworks display" - Nasdeep.  ❤️ "Diwali is a Hindu festival which is celebrated every year by lighting up candles or Diya’s. We exchange gifts with our loved ones, call them over to ours and share good food, dress up and decorate the house" – Anna. 

Open Banking for the win 🤩 Anything that makes it easier for our customers to pay their credit card balance surely deserves a win? And it did!
