🎉 150 Episodes Later… Project Complete! 🎧 I’m thrilled to wrap up my project with The Graduate Guide, where I reviewed, and created content to signpost and catalogue over 150 podcast episodes focused on early careers and entrepreneurship content. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻: - Personal branding - Skill development - Networking - Leadership - Content strategy 𝗧𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻: - Angel investing - Venture capital - Public speaking - Marketing 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗻: - Self-belief - Motivation - Time management - Goal setting Each episode brought its own unique insights and value. Throughout this project, I’ve developed skills in 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for in-person and online events, and setting up efficient 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. These experiences have inspired me, and 𝘐’𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳! A big thank you to Peter Wood and Marlene Leiss for trusting me with this opportunity. I’m so excited to see what The Graduate Guide achieves next! 🚀

𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Sitting down with Mike Soutar (𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦) and Patrick (𝘦𝘹-𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘥𝘐𝘯) was one for the books. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨? Neither Mike or Patrick went to university, yet both have gone on to have wildly successful careers in their own unique ways. You’ll probably know Mike from The Apprentice, where he’s been the legendary interviewer grilling finalists since 2011. Mike went on to build an extraordinary career as a journalist, editor, founder, and CEO across the biggest print, digital, and broadcast platforms in both the UK and the US. Patrick’s journey started with an apprenticeship at Google, where he mastered the art of social media and marketing. I asked the co-founder of Too Good To Go how they've saved 𝟯𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬+ meals from going to waste 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 Jamie Crummie: A law graduate who transformed a big idea into a global movement. Together with a team of passionate entrepreneurs, Jamie grew Too Good To Go into an organization of 750+ team members worldwide. Give a talk at the 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗛𝗤 ✅ Giving a talk at Google is intimidating enough. 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰-𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝟳𝟱+ 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘨𝘭𝘦? That’s the kind of challenge that would’ve left 16-year-old me feeling physically sick. 𝗕𝘂𝘁: I found my people both during and after UCL—a community that taught me it’s okay to fail. In fact, it’s essential. And fail I did. 𝗔 𝗹𝗼𝘁. Those failures shaped everything about my career. Now, I want to pay it forward. I want students to know that failure isn’t just a step on the path to success—it’s 𝗧𝗛𝗘 foundation for growth. That’s the driving force behind our new community. Co-Founder & COO at Endeavours Adventures 🌎 Connecting uni students through unique adventures for charity 🔥

Pitching Endeavours Adventures for the first time… and winning! 🤯 Standing in the Google Cloud Startup HQ at The Graduate Guide event, I delivered my very first business pitch in front of 70+ co-founders and investors—and walked away as the competition winner! Thank you for nominating me as the winner James Roycroft-Davis, Peter Wood & Marlene Leiss! 🏆 Here’s what I learned about delivering a strong pitch 👇 📚 Tell a story: Take them on a journey that connects emotionally and explains the problem you’re solving. 🔑 Be clear and concise: Simplicity is key—your value proposition should shine. 🗣️ Practice, practice, practice: Confidence comes from preparation. Thank you to my co-founder, Alex Taylor, for being a great business mentor to me. Success isn’t a solo journey, and I couldn’t have done this without you 🔥 A massive congratulations to the runners up of the pitching competition Kate Alderson and Marshall Gould, as well as everyone else who pitched (standing in front of everyone and presenting a pitch is a huge success in itself)!💪 To anyone hesitating to step out of their comfort zone: take the leap—you might just surprise yourself! 🚀 📸 Marcus Grip #entrepreneurship #startuplife #pitching #mentorship #googlecloud #graduateguide

This one change grew my podcast listenership by 𝟮𝟮𝟵% 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 Running The Graduate Guide for the past two years has been a wild ride. As a History grad, I never imagined my career would take this turn. But even more surreal is knowing the podcast is now helping so many ambitious grads kickstart theirs. To tackle what I see as a UK career crisis, 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗘𝗢𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Demystify career paths and give students a real, unfiltered look at the people building the companies they admire. We’ve never been about chasing viral, clickbait podcast moments. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿: Helping students and grads truly understand the companies and roles they’re applying for. This year, we made one big shift. We started advertising job opportunities from our podcast guests—𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵? • 10 successful hires for 10 different roles. • A 229% increase in our listenership. • 4,000,000+ impressions on LinkedIn 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 was about learning what’s broken in the graduate job market. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 has been about growing and connecting with our now 18,000+ strong community of ambitious students and grads. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 will be about helping grads find the perfect roles that align with their talents and aspirations. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘴 To everyone who’s been a guest on the podcast this year: 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨! * 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘸 * Without them, none of this would be possible. For that, I am forever grateful 🤝
