It's time to power up sustainability in our factory. We've announced a £6 million investment to become independent of our current gas turbine and increase our use of electricity from renewable sources. This initiative is set to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 58%, achieving our 2030 emissions reduction target four years ahead of schedule. This project will not only significantly decrease our reliance on natural gas, but also improve supply chain efficiencies and pave the way for future renewable energy integration like solar panels. It’s a fundamental part of our Growing for Good sustainability strategy and we can’t wait for the project to get underway. This winter we have relaunched our retailer charity donation drive, partnering with 60 independent retailers to donate over 30 pallets of Orangina to charities across the UK.    Local retailers are at the centre of many local communities and perfectly placed to help make a difference to those people who need it most. 🌍♻️ A major step forward: The EU’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (#PPWR) is officially adopted! This regulation sets important targets for 2030 and beyond, aiming to reduce packaging waste and promote more sustainable packaging across Europe. At SBFE, we welcome this progress. Innovation in action. Recently, our R&D team hosted an internal open day at our head office, offering colleagues an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the innovative work that goes into creating our drinks. Employees had the chance to create their very own Lucozade Energy drink and flavour, understanding the NPD process from sensory testing to quality assurance. They also learnt more about the role of regulatory in ensuring compliance and even got a sneak peek into our future product pipeline. The event was a fantastic opportunity to not only shine a spotlight on the incredible expertise within our R&D function, but for a bit of team fun too. #Innovation #GrowingForGood

Women’s Football: A Powerful Symbol of Progress As a feminist, attending an international women’s football match at Wembley Stadium was an incredibly empowering experience. Sharing the moment with a group of highly successful entrepreneurial women was truly inspiring. Watching the players on the pitch, moving in harmony and anticipating each other’s movements, was a beautiful display of teamwork. It mirrored the collaborative spirit among the women in the room with me, who are united in their mission to elevate the independent convenience retail sector. Rather than competing with each other, we inspire and support one another, illuminating the path for future generations of women in business. The women on the pitch today symbolize the incredible progress women have made since the Suffragette era. Teamwork remains essential to our continued advancement. As the youngest of eight sisters, I felt immense pride to be surrounded by such inspiring businesswomen at an event dedicated to supporting women's empowerment. On Friday, we welcomed Matt Bishop, the newly elected MP for the Forest of Dean, to our Coleford factory. During his visit, he met with teams across production, operations, sustainability, and management to understand our site’s rich history and the significant investments we have made over the past decade. The visit highlighted our deep-rooted commitment to the Forest of Dean, from creating jobs and supporting local skills development to putting Coleford on the map as the home of Lucozade and Ribena. We’re excited to continue working closely with Matt to support the growth and success of the Forest of Dean in the years to come. #GrowingForGood
