Do you view the glass as half full or half empty? 🍷 Personally I'm usually a half full glass person. Although I have been contemplating the findings of the latest COP (29 - Baku) & wrestling that our collective inaction so far in terms of climate action means that a 1.5 degree future is likely unattainable. So we aim for "less than 2 degrees" 😱 😱 😱 Climate change impacts are not linear—they accelerate as temperatures rise. 1/10th of a degree can be the difference between 🎑 Survivability of ecosystems and collapse. 🌊 Manageable adaptation and irreversible damage. ♾️ Staying within safe planetary limits or overshooting them, triggering long-term feedback cycles. As Tesco says "Every Little Helps" and if you would like your company to be doing what you can afford, doing what makes you more efficient and doing what helps you better relate to your ideal customers - give me a buzz. Even if you don't know where to start, or what to do - or what is relevant in your market - ESG Made Easy can help you navigate it. We currently have an incredible value offer on for SMEs in any industry to establish their Sustainability Strategy 2025 - from which we have had incredible uptake. Clients of ours have saved £1000's by optimising their waste, reducing usage, and increasing efficiency. For details DM me or Comment Below ⬇️ NI Chamber. Belfast City Council. Belfast Chamber. This might sound a bit counter-intuitive, to give this much value upfront but in all honesty - my clients 💰 save money 🏆 win business 🌏 have a lower impact on the planet after we have worked together & I want that for you too. Whether you decide to DIY & implement it yourself, or whether having the transparency of knowing exactly what it is that 𝐲𝐨𝐮 need for 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 stakeholders gives you the faith to decide to work with us. Although we don't recognise it day to day, soil health is so critical that is it becoming a key issue highlighted and prioritised by industry leaders. This is why transparency in the supply chain is more critical than ever. • 🎵 I see you baby - shaking that ... mixed species seeds  Did you know that one half of Groove Armada is now a pioneer in regenerative agriculture?  He even featured on Clarkson's Farm on the third season.  The style of farming he is a proponent of is the same as what we are building at Reap.  If you would like to know more about the importance of providing tools and resources for farmers to support them in the transition toward more climate resilient farm practices - reach out to the team at Reap, or email [email protected] ———————————————- 🐝Reap is an online product to increase transparency in the agri-food supply chain We provide an innovative resource for agri-food adjacent businesses across the UK & Europe. • Sure it's just dirt under our feet 🤷♀️ Healthy soil is foundational for thriving grazing land and profitable farming. Soil health increases the soil capacity to store water which increases resiliences to both floods and droughts.  That's why we are focus on giving farmers access to tools, resources and diversified farm income.  Reap waitlist is live, we have incredible projects ready for sponsorship for businesses looking incredible environmental and social impact. • ⚙️ Since when did farmers become our climate scapegoats?  We all eat food - but our food producers are feeling a hard hit in terms of allocating blame in the climate conversation.  Did you know that statistical analysis by the Journal of Rural Studies (2023) - that negative media coverage is a significant concern among farmers. A substantial portion of farmers feel that media representations are often unfairly critical.  Both Modern Farmer & The Guardian highlight that the farming community experiences or perceives a general trend towards negative coverage, particularly around environmental impact and animal welfare.  I don't doubt that there is room for every industry to improve their practices, but it is unhelpful and distracting to attribute blame to some of the most isolated, and unsupported business owners in our community. Let's change our approach!  Projects Available right now on Reap include  🌸 Wildflower Opportunities 🤯 Innovative Project Support  🌳 Tree Planting & Receptivity from 2 farmers on Considering Your Unique Ideas❓ so you can help a local farm see the value and afford the change required to make a real difference.  🗃️ Think outside the box ➡️ & DM or message us to find out more about how you can help to deliver Environmental, & Social impact, by collaborating with local farmers.  ———————————————- 🐝Reap is an online product to increase transparency in the agri-food supply chain We provide an innovative resource for agri-food adjacent businesses across the UK & Europe. • "Fix the Symptom - Not the Cause!" - Bad-Advice Barry It's not good advice for our health or our businesses, and yet this is the approach and outlook we have collectively become ok with when we allow our farmers to face the brunt of criticism regards the environmental impact of our food systems, and ultimately the impact of our grocery & retail expectations.  Farm businesses need to ensure high & consistent output to meet the demands of the food system. They are typically bound by contracts and agreements based on volume and therefor need to ensure that volume is delivered.  Over application of chemicals that can help secure this, is a step often taken in the protection of their farm legacy continuing to the point that there is a business in 5 or 10 or 20 years for them to pass through their family. Understanding farms as businesses, that need to keep the lights on - and farmers as people who are as savvy and open to collaboration as other business owners, offers an incredible opportunity to diversify your business, and support SMEs in the rural community!  Give me a buzz if you would like to know more about how you can make tangible ESG impact with farmers near or far from your business.  ———————————————- 🐝 Reap is an online product to increase transparency in the agri-food supply chain We provide an innovative resource for agri-food adjacent businesses across the UK & Europe. • 🤔 I think Jeremy Clarkson's is as much a hippie as I am!  Well maybe not quite but Clarkson’s Farm HAS brought significant attention to the opportunity and importance of soil health, biodiversity & regenerative agriculture. Surely I am not the only one surprised that car enthusiast, representative of "manly" manliness, has shared a very authentic, engaged and emotional outlook on what it takes to be a farmer. It has been captivating to watch and sparked wider conversations about the role of farmers in tackling climate change and the need for innovative, sustainable approaches in agriculture. By showcasing the complexities and struggles of running a farm, Clarkson has raised awareness about the needs of farmers and the importance of supporting sustainable agricultural practices. And vitally, he didn't just showcase his own commercial opportunities, he regularly features his neighbours and their goods and wares so that they can also benefit from rising tide of engagement with buying direct from farmer in rural communities.  If you want to find out how Reap can help you to build business relationships in the rural community, specifically to deliver environmental and social impact projects - send us a message!  ———————————————- 🐝 Reap is an online product to increase transparency in the agrifood supply chain We provide an innovative resource for agri-food adjacent businesses across the UK & Europe.
