Non-alcohol consumers are the biggest influencers for drinks sales right now 🤯 In their recent report, Low and No 2024: Drinking Differently, KAM Insight and Lucky Saint | B Corp™ found that NA drinkers are influencing and impacting which venues them and their friends visit, more than ever. This isn’t all doom and gloom, this is actually a big opportunity.. From pubs to fine dining, the hospitality sector needs to champion NA and make an effort to cater to these consumers. That means: > Have a varied selection of non-alc options - one of everything isn’t enough anymore > Promote and communicate that externally to attract new and repeat customers > Make the experience of ordering NA drinks enjoyable Share your fave venue for non-alcohol options below ⬇️ And check out the report here: https://lnkd.in/eGZphiu4 #kaminsight #highanddry #nonalcohol #noandlow

Why you shouldn't mix alcohol and cocaine, even as a 'one off'.. 🍷❄️ This time of year many mix alcohol and cocaine as a 'one off treat' or to get through all the festive parties. But do you know that doing so actually creates a whole new drug in itself? Send this to someone who needs to know this.. 21% of Christmas parties this year will be alcohol-free 🎅🎊 Data gathered by event booking platform, Togather, shows that workplaces are transforming celebrations from centering around alcohol, to centering around unique experiences that bring colleagues together. Driven by Gen Z and health trends, companies are making work parties more inclusive and looking for alternatives to traditional booze-ups. And alcohol companies are responding. AB InBev’s CEO, Michel Doukeris, spoke about their push to non-alcohol beer, highlighting how it’s more flexible and appealing for social occasions. For years, non-drinkers have cited feeling uncomfortable at work parties when they revolve around drinking. And it can be a barrier to those who do drink but have other commitments - an important meeting the next day, a long drive home, etc. Would you be up for an alcohol-free christmas party? Have you been to one? Read more about it: https://lnkd.in/ejYGmC4V #christmasparty #christmaspartyseason #highanddry #alcoholfree #nonalcohol

A massive thank you to Daniel Rowntree for being the latest guest on the Low No Drinker Podcast. This must be a great episode as the download counter started ticking before I even had a chance to shout about it. In this convo, we talk all things High and Dry Ltd, from CBD & THC to Cali Sober living, to how adaptogens and nootropics in low/no drinks are changing the evolution of the category. This was definitely a school-day kinda episode where I asked lots of probably inane questions, but Daniel was gracious enough to entertain and educate me, and the rest of Low No Nation. Head to the website to listen now, or search Low No Drinker Podcast ep#47 in your favourite listening app. https://lnkd.in/erStwyMh

The Second Wave of Moderation: Are You Ready for It? I talk about this a lot because I genuinely believe it’s a game-changer—the shift that could solidify non-alc options in the mainstream. Last week, our post sparked some debate when we brought big alcohol alternatives into the conversation. So today, let’s keep it focused on the products shaping the future. 🌊 The First Wave: This was all about replicating the taste, appearance, and drinking cues of alcohol. Think CleanCo, Ritual Zero Proof, Lyre's Spirit Co, and Lucky Saint | B Corp™. These brands made it easy for drinkers to say, “I’ll have the non-alc version.” The strategy was about removing alcohol while keeping everything else the same—a bit safe, maybe even apologetic. It worked, and as long as alcohol drinkers exist, this approach remains relevant. 🌊🌊The Second Wave: Now, we’re entering new territory. This isn’t about imitation; it’s about creating an entirely unique experience. Brands like Botivo Drinks | B corp, Mash Gang, IMPOSSIBREW®, and Collider are pioneering products that focus on complexity, mood alteration, and mouthfeel, often using adaptogens and nootropics. They’re redefining what non-alcoholic drinks can be, celebrating abundance rather than absence. Both waves are vital. One makes non-alcoholic drinks accessible; the other makes them aspirational. Together, they represent the exciting evolution of the category. The real question: which wave do you think will have the bigger impact on our collective drinking habits? Let’s discuss 👇 For more like this, subscribe ➡️ https://highanddry.live/ #nonalcohol #lowandno #highanddry #alcoholfree #alcohol

𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐇𝐂, 𝐂𝐁𝐃, 𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐊 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬? The craft beer boom of the last decade is slowing, with tough times hitting breweries hard. We’ve seen notable names like Gipsy Hill Brewing Company, Curious Brewery, Magic Rock Brewing Co. , Fourpure Brewing Co. and many more involved in M&A activity at significantly reduced valuations. Meanwhile a different story is emerging in functional beverages, including THC and CBD drinks, that are commanding higher interest and better valuations. This raises an intriguing question: Could functional beverages offer UK craft breweries a lifeline? 1️⃣ THC beverages are being embraced by breweries like those in Minnesota, where 45% of craft breweries now offer THC-infused options. 3️⃣ CBD beverages are seen as the “wellness” alternative, attracting consumers seeking non-alcoholic and functional options. 4️⃣ Functional beverage brands like G Spot, Goodrays and TRIP are gaining traction—and higher valuations—thanks to their crossover appeal. THC beverages remain out of reach due to cannabis laws, but CBD drinks are already carving out a niche in the functional beverage category. For craft breweries facing rising costs, declining beer consumption, and fierce competition, could pivoting to functional beverages represent a path to survival— or even growth? Key considerations for UK breweries: 1️⃣ Regulation: Can CBD beverages be produced alongside alcoholic offerings, or do brewers need to diversify operations? 2️⃣ Consumer trends: The wellness movement continues to grow—could a functional drink line appeal to a broader audience? 3️⃣ Market innovation: Does the future of craft lie in hybrid products that blend the creativity of brewing with the health-conscious trends of functional beverages? Check out High and Dry Ltd for more insights and provocations. What do you think? Are functional beverages the future for UK brewers, or is this a distraction from the core craft beer offering?
