This role offers a unique chance to work on an interdisciplinary project entitled Satellite-Aided Technologies for advancing resilience - Guarding energy services under climate hazards, risks, and disasters (SAT-Guard). The project is led from the Department of Engineering, with the Durham Energy Institute and the Institute for Hazard and Risk Research as partners. 🔍 Key Responsibilities: To lead on the selection, design and implementation of case studies, in collaboration with the project partners. To lead publications that report on the outcomes of case studies, contributing theoretical insights and development. To work with colleagues in different disciplinary areas to devise new methods for managing post-hazard restoration that considers community interests. 🎓 Qualifications: A PhD (or be close to submission) in Social Anthropology or related discipline. Outputs - experience, skills and/or achievements which demonstrate experience of or the potential to produce high quality outputs.
