Built a side project? Contributed to open-source? Include it - & don’t forget the README file! ➡️Attend meetups, user groups, / even give a talk. Yes, your LinkedIn profile is part of your CV too! ➡️ From our bootcamp, Coursera to Codecademy, completing online tech courses shows recruiters you’re hungry to grow. ➡️Pro-Tip - Your CV should be easy to scan but impossible to forget. The debate is on : Would you rather be part of a team full of #unicorns or a team of #racehorses? 😎 In our latest session at CODE Lancashire, learners explored the foundations of #datascience - a field that’s more accessible than ever. Gone are the days of needing to be a "unicorn" with expertise in everything. Now, the industry needs "racehorses"—professionals who specialize, collaborate, & deliver results. 🏇 From uncovering insights in #datasets to understanding how data shapes industries, our learners are preparing to contribute meaningfully to the tech landscape. 💡 Key takeaway You don’t need to be a data scientist to work with data; you need the right tools, mindset, & training - & that’s what we’re here to provide. CODE Lancashire reposted this
New Beginnings. After a challenging and stressful six months, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m back in employment! My new role at Blue Wren marks a significant shift from my previous career, but I couldn’t be more excited to be part of such a fantastic team. I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and seeing where this next chapter takes me. A special shout-out to the incredible team at CODE: Lancashire — without their support, this career pivot wouldn’t have been possible. Through learning Python, React, and JavaScript, I not only gained valuable technical skills but also discovered a lot about myself. The course turned out to be much more than just a technical training program; it acted as a form of career therapy, helping me process the emotional journey of redundancy. I truly owe them for helping me rebuild myself — like a modern-day Robocop! Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who reached out during this time. Your advice, encouragement, and kind words have been a constant source of support through some very challenging moments. I can’t overstate how much I appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️ Here’s to new adventures and exciting possibilities ahead!

When the code finally runs on the first try... pure joy! 🤯 #CodingLife For many of us, the journey into coding started with a moment of curiosity—a spark that opened a door to endless possibilities. For some, it was tinkering with computers, while for others, it was stumbling upon books like BASIC (Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code). 😎 Back then, we might not have understood the weighty acronyms. Instead, we saw "BASIC" as what it truly was: something "essential." And that’s the beauty of coding—it starts with small, simple steps that lead to powerful, creative solutions. At CODE Lancashire, we're here to nurture that same joy, curiosity, & sense of discovery. Whether you're taking your first steps in coding / leveling up your skills, this is your space to experiment, learn, & celebrate those "it works!" moments. Let’s keep sharing those wins & supporting each other along the way.
