Dan Parkinson was proud to be among the judges at this year's England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Business of Cricket Awards (BOCAs) last Thursday. The awards recognise inspiring innovations, achievements and dedication across county cricket, and Dan was delighted to present the award for 'Community Engagement Campaign of the Year' to worthy winners, Worcestershire County Cricket Club | Visit Worcestershire New Road, Worcester. The FA ‘Book Football’ Platform with Clubspark Clubspark has enjoyed working closely with The Football Association (FA) team over the past eighteen months on the delivery of three successful sports participation programmes; Wildcats for girls aged 5-11, Comets for disabled children aged 5-11, and the FA Big Football Day. Following the success of this relationship, and the positive feedback received from user groups on the digital platforms, we’re delighted to announce that The FA has extended its partnership with Clubspark and recently introduced the new FA booking platform, ‘Book Football’. The Book Football system will support the delivery of all national FA football programmes. It will help to improve communication, record and track activity, and digitise previously manual tasks - bringing significant time savings for The FA Grassroots Development Team, County FA partners and club providers, allowing more time to be spent enjoying the sport. Alongside the booking system which replaces The FA’s existing events platform, The FA will utilise the Clubspark Control Centre tool, which enables county football associations to add coaches, manage safeguarding, approve programmes and manage activity in their area. "We have greatly valued our collaboration with the FA team over the past few years. Working together to pilot our software with clubs and providers nationwide has yielded incredibly positive feedback. This success presents an exciting opportunity to extend our partnership further, leveraging our innovative sports participation technology to enhance the delivery of FA National Programmes. On Friday, the Clubspark team got together for our quarterly company wide update, followed by a fun-filled scavenger hunt across historic sites in London. Four teams; Raiders of the Lost Spark, the Plague Runners, Pirates of Pudding Lane, and the Defective Detectives took on the challenge to decipher 15 hidden clues, which lead us all the way from St Paul’s to London Bridge, taking in lots of stunning sights along the way. Yesterday, John Romero and Jody Rosher had a fantastic day at the Football Foundation CFA Conference at St George's Park. The team enjoyed meeting and speaking to all of the county football associations, and even gave some demos on how our integrated online booking and gated access solution; SmartAccess works in practice.
