Congratulations! We love Mishka here at Chartered Accountants Worldwide
Meet our Communications lead, Mishka Hajee CA(SA)! Mishka was born and raised in Durban, schooled at Westville Girls' High School and read for her undergraduate degree and post grad at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She has resided in Ireland for over five years and is currently Vice President at Citi in the Internal Audit - International Risk division. Prior to her move to Ireland, Mishka worked as an external auditor in London. Mishka has had a number of engagements with Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW), having formed part of the One Young World Summit delegation in 2023, participating in the CAW’s inaugural Think-Tank in Dublin and participated in the Global Connectedness Campaign. In addition, she joined SAICA‘s mentorship program as a mentor in 2024. She is passionate about NGO sustainability and currently serves on the committee of a registered Irish charity. She is also a mentor on the EPIC Program in Ireland – this program aims to assist asylum seekers and refugees with finding employment in Ireland. Mishka’s favourite aspect of Ireland, apart from the friendly people and beautiful landscapes, is its richness in literature and folklore. With an interest in creative writing, having published work in both South African and Irish publications, and being inspired by the magic that is Ireland, she self-published her first collection of poetry in 2020. Regarding tourism, she highly recommends Connemara and West Cork to anyone who wants to visit Ireland. Mishka has enjoyed spearheading the “Know Your Colleague” campaign and looks forward to spotlighting fellow CA(SA)s in the future! #KnowYourColleague #SAICAIrishSociety
