CAPA joins the Global Ethics Day initiative, founded by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. This year’s theme, "#EthicsEmpowered," reminds us that as we face unprecedented challenges, ethical leadership by #PAOs is crucial.   Why do we believe in strong ethical commitments by PAOs?   ✅ It serves the #PublicInterest and is central to the accountancy profession ✅ It builds #Trust in business and government. ✅ It supports #ProfessionalAccountants. ✅ It positions #PAOs as leaders.   Ethical requirements are at the ❤️ heart of the profession. The adoption and implementation of ethical standards by PAOs is not a choice; it’s a necessity. This involves collaboration with governments, regulators, training providers, and the business community to integrate ethical behaviour into the very fabric of our profession. As part of the 'CAPA maturity model series', CAPA is developing a guide that will outline the ❔“why,” ❔“what,” and ❔“how” of ethical commitments by PAOs in the Asia-Pacific region.
