It was a huge pleasure last week to attend the Dorset Leadership Academy at Bryanston School alongside 400 aspiring young leaders from Dorset schools. I took a group from The Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis who were delightful and thoroughly engaged in the day. Guest speakers - Paralympic basketball player Claire Griffiths and endurance athlete Jacques Bernard were inspiring and I'm sure had a big impact on the young minds.

Yesterday the Boat Building Academy had the pleasure of welcoming representatives of both The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights and the Dorset Lieutenancy. The Renter Warden, Admiral Sir George Zambellas, Liveryman Danny Boswell and Richard Cole-Mackintosh as well as Deputy Lieutenants of Dorset George Streatfield MBE and Colin Weston MBE JP. Touring the academy they met staff, tutors and students of our 40-week boat building course including Billmeir awardees Indie Wix and Hannah Lovett.
