CPG has long been a champion of sustainability in the built environment, which is why we are proud of CPG Consultants’ (CPG) recent contribution in the Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) Ecosystem facility, part of the Integrated Construction Park in Jurong Port.   In close collaboration with Jurong Port, CPG worked with ARUP and other consultants to provide architectural services, designing a shared-services terminal building that is a key component of the RMC ecosystem. CPG was appointed by JP to execute their vision of integrating a common infrastructure into the compact plot of land to optimise land use. The RMC ecosystem is designed to streamline the industry from import to the efficient production of concrete, featuring full automation for material handling equipment and conveyors.   The RMC ecosystem will improve storage capacity by 75 per cent, saving up to 8 hectares of land in the process, and cut more than a million truck trips, which is translated as a reduction in carbon emissions of about 23,500 tonnes. Since the inauguration of the Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Council (“KSBC”) in 2022, CPG International (CPG) has been actively supporting the initiative by facilitating networking opportunities and fostering business collaborations between Kazakhstan and Singapore. As part of these efforts, CPG co-organised the business roundtable “Kazakhstan-Singapore: Year-End Review & Way Forward – Trade, G2G, and Regional Dimension” in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Singapore and KSBC. The event was held at the CPG office last week. We were honoured to welcome distinguished guests, including Mr Askar Kuttykadam, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Singapore; Mr Marat Murziyev, Deputy Governor of the Atyrau Region; Ms Aigerim Raissova, Deputy Head of Mission (Trade and Economy); Ms Diana Ablyakimova, Regional Representative of "KAZAKH INVEST" National Company JSC; and Mr Sultan Marenov, Chairman of the KSBC. During the session, CPG welcomed our Kazakhstan business partners and shared our experiences in managing infrastructure and building development projects across Asia, including Kazakhstan. Key topics of discussion included Kazakhstan’s evolving investment potential. Recently, Mr Chakkarapani Samidurai, a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) from our subsidiary, Construction Professionals Pte Ltd (CPPL), received the JTC Project Consultant and Site Supervision Team award during the annual JTC Safety Day event. The award recognises individuals who have placed the utmost priority on safety and workers’ well-being.    RTOs play a vital role in ensuring safety on construction sites by helping to prevent accidents through constant vigilance and proactiveness. With nearly two decades of experience as an RTO, Mr Samidurai stood out for the consistent display of safety excellence throughout his work. CPG Consultants is excited to share that Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TSNIA), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is nearing completion! Designed to serve 20 million passengers annually, TSNIA Terminal 3 will cater to domestic flights, alleviating the load on Terminal 1. Once operational, it will become the country’s largest domestic terminal, increasing Tan Son Nhat's total capacity to 50 million passengers annually. As the Principal Design Consultant and lead architect for the project, the CPGairport team drew cultural inspiration from the Vietnamese ao dai to design Terminal 3, blending monumental architecture with graceful, fluid forms. Beyond its core aviation functions, the terminal will strengthen connections with the surrounding community through its T3 SkyPark@TSNIA—an integrated complex that harmonises travel and community experiences.   The project also highlights CPG’s strong multidisciplinary expertise, with our team providing Civil and Structural Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as well as Quantity Surveying services. Last week, CPG had the opportunity to host a Presentation and Dialogue Session with Dr Alan Dilani, a global authority on interdisciplinary research concerning the interaction between design and health. Joined by our clients and industry experts, Dr Dilani shared how salutogenesis offers a more holistic approach to health and its potential for enhancing well-being in the built environment. The session included an engaging panel discussion featuring distinguished experts: Dr Alan Dilani, Founder of the International Academy for Design and Health Mr Teng Lit LIAK, Health Advocate and Environmentalist Ar Frankie Lim, Senior Vice President (Architecture), CPG Consultants Moderated by Ar Ruby Lai (Senior Consultant, CPG Consultants), the panel discussion focused on how we can better integrate wellness into architecture and design, especially in the context of Singapore’s unique challenges in land availability and high-stress urban living. CPG X SWAP is back!   As we remain committed to inspiring sustainable choices and mindful consumption across the company, our CPG colleagues took part in our annual SWAP event from 6-12 November. Now in its third year, the CPG x SWAP event has become synonymous with waste reduction. In the spirit of minimising waste, many colleagues began preparing over the weekend when the event was announced, packing up their pre-loved items to share and looking forward to discovering new pieces to refresh their home collections.   From clothing to books, accessories and more, we collected a total of 161.4 kg of items and those left unexchanged were donated to the MINDS thrift shop.
