Both the longest-running scripted drama and the longest-running American soap currently in production, General Hospital — which marked its 60th anniversary in 2023 — has seen its share of memorable moments, many of which include celebrity cameos. The Emmy Award-winning daytime drama has seen some famous faces pop up in episodes and helped launch the careers of then-rising stars. "Being on General Hospital didn't just change my life, it gave me a life," John Stamos — who played heartthrob rocker Blackie Parish from 1982 to 1984 — said on the 2024 ABC primetime special General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars & Storytelling. "I am so grateful for the show and everything it has done for me. That was the beginning."
