Sam Smith is swapping the concert stage for the catwalk.

The “Unholy” singer, 31, made a surprise appearance at Vivienne Westwood’s Fall/Winter 2024 runway show at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday — not as a guest or a performer, but as a model.

Smith can be seen in a video shared by Women's Wear Daily wearing a green long-sleeved V-neck top under a red plaid shawl-like jacket. The look was paired with what appeared to be a high-waisted green plaid kilt, red plaid knee-high socks and olive green plaid platform boots, which towered several inches off the ground.

The singer’s runway statement was accented with a green plaid headband and waist-length hair extensions, which draped over Smith's shoulder. A rustic brown walking stick completed the look.

The musician also modeled a second look in the show, featuring a black polka-dot top worn under a black floor-length jacket with material that appeared to be shredded and plaited into a design. Hints of Smith’s skin could be seen between the fabric. The singer's look was topped off with a black hat accented with a mesh veil.

After the runway show, the fashion brand shared a photo on Instagram of all the show's models, including Smith, posing together in their looks. The Grammy winner could be seen wearing a large black hat and white under-eye makeup while smiling at the camera.

“'A tradition is kept alive only by something being added to it.’ – Henry James,” the brand captioned the photo.

The “Stay With Me” crooner, who came out as non-binary in 2019, has been known for donning one-of-a-kind fashion ensembles. For the 2023 Brit Awards, Smith wore an all-black latex suit custom-made by the London-based fashion label Harri which featured high pointed shoulders and wide outwardly pointed thighs, which were both inflated.

The singer-songwriter has sported several Vivienne Westwood looks in the past, including a custom tailored jacket and black kilt by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivenne Westwood for the British Fashion Awards in December.

Later in the night, Smith changed into a Vivienne Westwood taffeta gown detailed with dramatic puffy sleeves and long train, as they accepted the cultural innovator award and performed their song “HIM” at the awards ceremony.

Smith, who has sported both masculine and feminine styles in the past, recently spoke about feeling like their truest self while making their fourth studio album, Gloria.

"I'm happier in my own skin on Gloria,” the singer told The Sunday Times. “I feel liberated, released from pressures I felt when I was young. My mum says that, as I've got older, I've stopped caring what people think as much. She tends to be right."
