Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega Kiss and Murder Each Other Repeatedly in New 'Taste' Music Video — Watch!

Carpenter released her new album 'Short n' Sweet' on Friday, Aug. 23

Sabrina Carpenter is "vicious" in her new music video.

On Friday, Aug. 23, the pop star, 25, not only released her new album Short n’ Sweet, but a visual for her latest single "Taste," which features Jenna Ortega as her costar.

In the Dave Meyers-directed music video, Carpenter and the Beetlejuice 2 actress, 21, murder each other repeatedly and share a kiss.

At the start of the visual, the "Nonsense" singer approaches a pink bed full of instruments that can be used for murder and grabs a knife, using it as a mirror as she applies lipstick. She then runs into a mansion, where she attempts to kill the You actress, whom she thinks is in bed with her man.

However, it's a decoy, and Ortega emerges with a shotgun, blasting Carpenter over a balcony. The pair duel in the hospital, with voodoo dolls and in the shower.

While Ortega is seemingly kissing her "beloved boyfriend," he turns into Carpenter, whom she cuts with a chainsaw. (She quickly learns she actually killed her beau.) At the end of the visual, the pair attend his funeral in black funeral garb and leave giggling while holding smoothies.

The video includes a series of campy horror references. Carpenter and Ortega don similar vampy black dresses and bouncy hairstyles akin to Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep in 1992's Death Becomes Her. The Wednesday star sports a similar nurse costume to Daryl Hannah's in Kill Bill, while the "Feather" artist is impaled by a fence like a scene in the 2000's Ginger Snaps. There's also an ominous shower scene similar to the 1960 classic Psycho.

In June, Carpenter's released the music video for the Jack Antonoff-produced single "Please Please Please," featuring another actor — her boyfriend Barry Keoghan.

In the visual, Keoghan, 31, appears throughout most of the music video. But more directly in the lyrics, Carpenter even made a cheeky reference to his profession, singing, "I heard that you're an actor, so act like a stand-up guy."

The music video kicks off with the rising singer-songwriter getting released from jail, which appears to nod to the arrest at the end of her "Espresso" music video. She then locks eyes with a fellow inmate (Keoghan).

Throughout the visual, Carpenter references iconic movie criminals, including Bonnie and Clyde. But Keoghan's character is quickly released and the pair's romance heats up.

Later, the Tall Girl actress pleads with Keoghan as he returns to his criminal ways.

"Please, please, please don't prove I'm right," Carpenter sings. "And please, pleasе, please don't bring me to tеars when I just did my makeup so nice. Heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another. I beg you, don't embarrass me, motherf---er. Please, please, please."
