Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys, based on Ali Novak’s 2014 book of the same name, follows Rodriguez’s character, protagonist Jackie, as she navigates life on a farm in rural Colorado surrounded by 10 kids — nine of whom are boys. Jackie becomes particularly friendly with two of the Walter boys, Cole (LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry). A love triangle ensues and causes rifts among brothers, which impacts Jackie’s ability to start a new life on the ranch. When asked by Cox, 51, which boy she thinks is a better fit for Jackie, Rodriguez said, “I truly think both are so good for different reasons. I know that’s the worst answer!” LaLonde took a stand, though. “Shoutout Ashby Gentry! I love you brother,” he said. “It’s always him.” Regardless of their opinions on who Jackie should ends up with, Rodriguez and LaLonde agreed on their appreciation for the Walter Boys fans. “I just want to say thank you so much for watching,” Rodriguez said to the viewers on the carpet. “It really, really means the world.” Noah LaLonde and Nikki Rodriguez at The 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards.
