Chloe Fineman Says 2024 CFDA Awards Corset 'Broke' Her Back: 'I Don't Do It for Sex, I Do It for Fashion' (Exclusive)

Chloe Fineman was looking snatched at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards.

That was all thanks to her Wiederhoeft corset gown that she wore for the Oct. 28 event.

The Saturday Night Live star, 36, attended the New York City awards show wearing the form-fitting gray dress that hugged her curves and dipped low in the front into a sweetheart neckline. It was accented with a belt below the waist and stopped at the ankles to show off her heels.

But the stiff corset meant she was really — and we mean really — strapped in there.

She told PEOPLE on the red carpet that this particular dress is one of her riskiest fashion movies because the dress nearly "broke" her back because the corset was so "cinched."

"I don't do it for sex, but I do it for fashion," she said with a laugh. "I'm not even kidding, that is true. I will break my back for a look. I will be seeing a chiropractor tomorrow. I already feel a vertebrae moving, but we're cinched."

Fineman, who is a red carpet staple and has often wowed with her fashion choices, also shared a carousel of Instagram photos on Oct. 29 from her evening at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. 

"So proud of you for your @cfda nomination!" she wrote to designer Jackson Wiederhoeft in her caption. "And can’t believe you had scissors to cut me out of this corset at the end of the night 😂 Thank you @instagram for having me."

At this year's CFDA Fashion Awards, Erykah Badu was honored with the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Fashion Icon award. Previous recipients of the prestigious award, which has recognized influential figures in fashion since 2010, include Zendaya, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

The 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards were hosted by Cynthia Erivo and were presented by Amazon Fashion.
