Earlier this month, the Real Housewives of New York City star revealed on an episode of Sherri that she and her photographer partner are engaged. Host Sherri Shepherd told Lyons that she thought she saw an engagement ring in the new trailer for RHONY and essentially asked the former J.Crew exec to confirm if the rumors were true.

"Yes, yes!" Lyons replied, as Shepherd admired the ring. "When we were in the [jewelry] store, I was like, 'That one is not big enough. Let's [keep looking].' "

Lyons added that she and Bird are "working on" setting a date for the wedding but don't have any firm plans as of yet.

Lyons and Bird first sparked engagement rumors last September when the RHONY star posted a cozy photo of herself with Bird. A large ring could be seen on Lyons' left ring finger. Friends, family and fans all offered congratulations, assuming the two had gotten engaged.

A source close to the reality star told PEOPLE at the time, "She's not engaged. She's had that ring forever, and though it does look like an engagement ring, it's not."

Lyons remained coy about the ring during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live just weeks later. Host Andy Cohen asked her, “I wanna say congratulations because I think you’re engaged, but are you engaged?”

“So basically, here’s the story. My girlfriend, who I adore, kept telling me that I had to button my shirt, and I said ‘If you want me to button my shirt, you have to put a ring on it,’ " the Bravo star replied, seemingly referring to her penchant for showing off her décolletage. “We’re just really happy, and she gave me the ring that I wanted.”

Lyons first revealed her relationship with Cass in a New York Times article in June 2023, after previously sharing in April that she had a "massive crush on someone."

She said in a July 2023 RHONY episode, though, that she wouldn't be bringing Bird into the spotlight because she wanted to keep her relationship private. "Because I've had so much press, I am very quiet about that so I'm not sharing that," she said, explaining her decision to several of her costars at a dinner in the Hamptons.
