Mormon Wives Star Whitney Leavitt Embraces 'Villain' Persona for Halloween in Little Mermaid-Themed Family Costume

Whitney Leavitt and her family found inspiration under the sea for Halloween.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star and her family kicked off the Halloween festivities early as she shared their The Little Mermaid-inspired costumes on Instagram on Oct. 30.

"HALLOWEEENNNNN our favorite time to shell-abrate 🫧🐠🧜🏻‍♀️🐚☀️," Leavitt captioned the post with her family. Leavitt channeled her inner "villain" by dressing up as the sea witch Ursula while holding her newborn son Billy Gene Leavitt, who was dressed as Flounder. Meanwhile, Leavitt's husband Conner dressed as King Triton and her older children Sedona and Liam posed as Ariel and Prince Eric, respectively.

The mom of three also included a behind-the-scenes look at her getting ready in a selfie that showed her husband holding their son, who they welcomed on Oct. 24.

PEOPLE exclusively announced the news of their baby's arrival on Oct. 28, which showed Leavitt and her husband holding their baby in the hospital. "We are most excited about having our family complete. We’ve always wanted three kids and we’re so happy everyone’s here now," Leavitt told PEOPLE at the time.

Leavitt revealed that found out the baby's sex in the delivery room, but that she was "very confident" she was having a boy during her pregnancy.

"Finding out the gender in the delivery room was a feeling of greater anticipation that I couldn’t wait for," she explained. "Finding out we were having another boy was an overwhelming sense of emotion." 

However, Leavitt said that her children thought that they would be welcoming a baby sister and not a brother. "Upon meeting Billy, they were a bit surprised that they actually didn’t get to decide the baby's gender," she shared. "But, they’ve warmed up to him quickly and now all they want to do is hold their new baby brother."

Leavitt initially revealed that she was pregnant with her third child during the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives by putting her positive pregnancy test inside a cake.

After it was announced that MomTok would return for a second season, questions circulated about Leavitt's role in the show after she dramatically left the group. However, the mom of three later confirmed on Oct. 4 that she would be back for season 2.

"Excited to film season 2 with all of you 🤍 I know there's tough conversations ahead but I look forward to our journey together," she wrote in a text to the other MomTok members in a video shared across her social platforms.
