Fox and Tracy Pollan celebrated a good cause alongside a music legend! On Saturday, Nov. 16, the couple attended The Michael J. Fox Foundation's annual A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s gala, and posed on the red carpet with Stevie Nicks. The three were also joined by singer Maggie Rogers. Fox, 63, wore a navy suit and brown paisley-print dress shirt for the occasion, while his wife Pollan, 64, looked elegant in a black column dress with a white halter-style detail. Nicks, 76, and Rogers, 30, both wore all-black looks. The gala honors the efforts made by the MJFF throughout the year together with patients, families, scientists and donors. Fox, Tracy Pollan Have Date Night at A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's Event This year's iteration of the annual event — hosted by Denis Leary and featuring music from Nicks — comes as the gala has raised $116 million overall toward Parkinson's disease research to date. Since its development in the fall of 2000, the foundation has raised $1.75 billion. The Back to the Future star was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991 and went public with his diagnosis in 1998, two years before he developed the MJFF to aid with research. The foundation's latest gala follows April's A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's event, which was held in Nashville and featured appearances from the likes of Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town and Jason Isbell. Fox Gets Standing Ovation as Back to the Future Cast Reunites at Rhode Island Comic Con Speaking with CBS Mornings in November 2023, Fox explained that he founded the MJFF to ultimately give a voice to the voiceless. "They didn't have money, they didn't have a voice, and I thought, I could step in for these people and raise some hell," he said at the time. "It's not a cure. But it's a big spotlight on where we need to go, and what we need to focus on so we know we're on the right path, and we're very proud." As for Fox and Pollan, the pair have been married since 1988, and back in April, the actor was asked by PEOPLE if they had any "rules" in their marriage. He joked at the time they "make it up" as they go. "It's interesting, being married for 35 years," Fox said. "Yeah. I mean, the joke is you say I’ve been married 35 years, and it’s [been] the best 35 years of my life so think about that one for a second." "It's great having a partner and having someone that knows you in a [certain] way when everyone in the world thinks they know you," he added. "[Only] one person actually knows you." Close
