On Nov. 14, CBS announced the 43-year-old singer will host Josh Groban & Friends Go Home for the Holidays, a festive variety special featuring performances from Groban as well as James Bay, Jennifer Hudson, Tori Kelly and The War and Treaty. Filmed at the Bram Goldsmith Theater at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, the program will also center on the American foster care system and feature a family adopting a child live on-air. "It’s especially important because it will spread the importance of adoption and will feature the most incredible kids." He added, "I can’t wait for everyone to watch with their families, sing along and hopefully make room in their hearts and homes for a child who needs one." The musician will likely perform selections from his successful 2007 holiday album, Noël, which features classics such as "Silent Night," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "The Christmas Song" and more. Groban's CBS special isn't the only way he's supporting children as of late. Last month, he performed at the annual benefit concert for his arts education charity, the Find Your Light Foundation, at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. "The greatest gift of working with students or teaching is just how much it enriches you," he told PEOPLE ahead of the Oct. 29 event. "You think you walk into an environment as somebody who's got the experience and got the knowledge, and you're here to impart that knowledge on other people. But the secret is that you actually wind up receiving just as much, if not more, from these kids." At the time, Groban continued, "As somebody who's been in this business since I was 17 years old, they're constantly reminding me to stay where the light is in my own life." Close
