Joey King is reminiscing about the moment that made her wedding day extra special.

The 24-year-old actress - who married husband Steven Piet, 32, in September - says that while she enjoyed her entire wedding day, one moment stuck out in particular. “When we jumped in the pool at the reception,” King told Elite Daily

Explaining why she chose to jump in the pool, The Kissing Booth star said: “It was not planned because we were already having a pool party the next day. I have never danced harder in my life than at my wedding. My husband and I got so hot, so sweaty. You know that heat where you can start to feel your heartbeat in your face? I was that hot.”

She added, “I knew the photographers would want to know, so I told them we were going for it. Then, we just jumped in, and it was the most fun because so many people joined us in their fancy dresses. It was the most romantic moment to me. It was so spontaneous, and it felt like such a movie, honestly. I loved the camaraderie of it all.”

In addition to jumping in the pool during the private reception in Mallorca, Spain, the Bullet Train actress also engaged in other fun, non-traditional moments.

“We rock, paper, scissors pretty much every day,” King explained, adding, “For our vows, since we both wanted to go first, we decided, ‘Why don’t we just settle this with a good old-fashioned Joey and Steven classic?’ It was funny. We actually tied a couple of times, like, ‘Oh, s---, we both got rock.’ But that just made the ceremony feel lighthearted and fun.”

The duo first met and became friends on the set of The Act, but realized they wanted more.

“There was such an immediate ease. I had a very big crush but waited until the wrap party to ask him out,” King told Vogue. “I worked up the courage and took him aside to tell him how I felt. It was the best decision of my life!”

When asked what her advice is for people who also want to make the first move, King told Elite Daily, “If you feel that way about someone, you should say something.”

She continued, “What’s the worst that can happen? You get rejected… I’ve been rejected before, and that’s totally OK. It hurt a little bit, but obviously, I’m now married to someone because I was brave enough to tell him how I felt. It all worked out.”
