As fans may recall, the couple found themselves in the center of controversy — and ultimately were fired — after Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) discovered Meredith Grey’s (Ellen Pompeo) secret Alzheimer's research. McKidd, 51, opened up to PEOPLE about what the future holds for Teddy (Kim Raver) and Owen on the red carpet at the premiere of It Ends with Us in New York City on Tuesday, Aug. 6. “It's a rocky road for them to come back to the hospital,” he teased. “It's a lot of fun when it happens.” Kevin McKidd at the premiere of It Ends with Us in New York City on Aug. 6, 2024. But it's a little bit rocky for a little moment.” The Scottish actor also reflected on his future on the show after being part of the ABC medical drama since 2008. Sharing whether he sees himself moving on from the series, he said, “I don't know the answer to that question. I love playing the part.” “Meg Marinis, she's our showrunner, is writing the role and all of our roles," he added. "It feels like she's freshened us all up as characters. She's given us all new things to sort of work on and work through as characters. As long as that continues, I'm happy." The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now!
