Miranda Lambert and Elle King Had the Best Time at the 2021 ACM Awards: See the Photos

On Sunday night in Nashville, Miranda Lambert and Elle King rolled up onto the ACM Awards red carpet in Nashville in a custom pink Ford Mustang, like the boss babes they are.

The pair hit the Grand Ole Opry, one of three venues for the socially distanced show.

Out of their car, they showed off coordinating leather jackets and sparkly bodysuits.

And hairspray.

So much hairspray.

Of performing pregnant, King told PEOPLE it was tough — but also sentimental.

"To know that I could tell my kid one day I did that one cool thing and you were there — it's cool," she said.

On stage, the women sang their duet "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)," which came out in February (King stars in the hilarious music video, too).

"Even when we're nervous, and we've worked all day and we have hair and makeup and all the things that we're doing, when we get out there to sing together, we kind of come back to the root of it," Lambert told PEOPLE ahead of the ACM Awards. "And it's fun to sing a song called 'Drunk' with a pregnant lady."

"You know, if I wasn't pregnant, I could be throwing up from drinking, but now it's different," King joked to PEOPLE.

"We just keep saying that I'm drinking for two," Lambert cracked.
