Charli xcx will be making her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on Nov. 16, the late-night sketch comedy show announced on Oct. 31. The episode will also see her double-duty as the musical guest, too. The appearance marks her third time as a musical guest. She first performed in 2014 and was last on in 2022. Although, given the cultural impact her latest album, Brat, has had, the British singer has already been impersonated once on this season of SNL. I offend a lot more people by doing exactly the same things," she said, referring to the massive cultural impact Brat has had since its June release. "Nothing groundbreaking here, but I suppose because no one really cared too much before what I was doing on a personal day-to-day level." She continued, "It's hard. It's hard to be constantly scrutinized for things that you have said. It's hard for your words to be taken out of context and then really kind of feel that you just can't defend yourself because that would open a whole other can of worms." It'll be the comedian's second time hosting. This week's episode, the pre-election show, will be hosted by SNL alum John Mulaney, who will be joined by musical guest Chappell Roan. When he was announced as host on Sept. 18, Mulaney, 42, jokingly captioned an Instagram post, "This is the first I'm hearing of this."
