"I chose this career path because I love music and art and honoring my inner child, I do not accept harassment of any kind because I chose this path, nor do I deserve it.” Many artists who've experienced similarly quick career breakthroughs have since offered support and advice to Roan, including Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Lorde, the members of MUNA, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Hayley Williams, whom she told Rolling Stone "is the strongest bitch ever." Mitski, who's also notably set boundaries with fans in physical settings, sent Roan an email about the subject.
