On Saturday, Oct. 26, Selling Tampa alum Rosado, 37, stated that she and the former NFL star — who got engaged in early 2023 and share a 2-year-old daughter, Serenity — are “no longer together” in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Chad and I are no longer together please stop tagging us,” the real estate broker wrote in the post, which she also shared on Instagram. "He is a free man ladies,” she added. Also on X, Johnson, 46, reposted her statement and added a GIF from Arrested Development, showing the character George Michael (played by Michael Cera) walking along looking dejected with his head hanging down. Representatives for Johnson and Rosado did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. The couple had previously shown each other support on social media as recently as Oct. 16, when Rosado reposted an X post from Johnson promoting that he will appear on the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, which is hosted by Travis Kelce. The former engaged couple’s break-up announcement also comes just one day after Johnson revealed that while meeting David Beckham, the NFL alum asked him about the secret to his happy marriage with wife Victoria. “Honestly i asked about marriage & how they were able to last so long,” the retired wide receiver wrote of the interaction in an X post. “He gave me a long speech & used the word PATIENCE many times.” The same day, he also posted a photograph on X of a McDonalds bag, with the caption, "Date night," adding a smiley face emoji with hearts. Rosado did not feature in the photo however, and was not tagged in it. The former couple got engaged on Jan. 7, 2023, they confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE at the time. "I'm honestly shocked!” Rosado told PEOPLE in 2023. “I'm at a loss for words.” Celebrity Couples Who Broke Up in 2023 Sharelle Rosado and Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson. The Dancing with the Stars alum popped the question with an oval cut, 71/2-carat engagement ring at what he said was an early birthday party for himself, where 20 guest hid to witness the special moment. “This was absolutely beautiful and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love, that really did it for me,” Rosado told PEOPLE after the proposal. She also noted that she was "very" surprised by the gesture. "He is definitely not a planner, so for him to pull this off for me is so amazing," she said. "Just the thought he put into this and having our family and friends here to witness says a lot.” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.
